I am about to close a deal with my local dealer on (2) John Deere 4400’s . They are equipped as follows: Tall Folding ROPS, Dual Selective Control Hydraulic Valve, Mid PTO, Industrial Tires, 3’rd SVC, 430 Loader and 60” Belly Mower. What should these two tractors cost me? I would appreciate any help I can get. Are there any problems with the tractors that are being produced now?

MG, based on my shopping a year ago and a recent look around, my expected price range would be from about $22-25K each, with most likely around 23,700. I would say anything under $45K for 2 is a good, fair deal. I'm assuming HST transmission and 3rd SCV and cylinder to lift the belly mower, none of which you mentioned. ....

MG, sync-reverser is about $800-1000 less than HST, but it sounds like you have an extra loader bucket, power-beyond, pallet forks (JD quik-tach for loader?), 4th & 5th SVC, and telescoping draft links, which all add up another roughly $2000 each tractor (don't know these prices exactly). So now I would say a reasonable price range would be from $23-26K and anything around $47-48K for the 2 tractors is a good, fair deal. Plus tax if applicable. Just my opinion. ....
